AquaTerra personnel regularly conduct Songbird Nesting Surveys (SBNS), which are also referred to as Pre-clearing Nest Surveys, Bird Nest Surveys, or Breeding Bird Surveys. Bird nest surveys are often undertaken for construction and development projects, municipalities and regional government, infrastructure projects, Environmental Assessments and Independent Power Projects (IPPs). In 2013, AquaTerra personnel were tasked with conducting pre-clearing nest surveys for the Interior-to-Lower Mainland (ILM) project. Bird nest survey methodology adheres to the current Canadian Wildlife Service (CWS) protocols.
